Appointment Announcement | Justin Charlesworth, General Manager, Kestrel Aviation

Galvin-Rowley Executive has recently partnered with Kestral Aviation in its search for a new General Manager. We are excited to announce, following an extensive search, the appointment of Justin Charlesworth to this General Manager role at Kestral.

Kestrel Aviation is the leading force in Australia’s helicopter emergency response, remote access transport and advanced pilot training. They provide emergency response and firefighting support with its fleet of fixed and rotary-wing aircraft, including the versatile heavy-lift Erickson Aircrane. Operated by highly experienced pilots from their state-of-the-art headquarters in Mangalore, this fleet delivers powerful and reliable helicopter firefighting and emergency response capability. Kestrel Aviation also provides specialised transport solutions to mining companies and other clients in remote and inaccessible areas.

On this occasion, we are delighted to have partnered with Kestrel Aviation’s Managing Director Capt. Ray Cronin & Director, Eleanor Cronin in this finding a suitable candidate for this exciting role.

Justin will be relocating from Sydney to lead Kestrel and take up his appointment on 8 June 2020.

Justin brings broad general management skills, qualifications and capability, as well as extensive experience in the maritime and emergency response sectors. Most recently Justin has held the role of Assistant Contract Director, Fleet Marine Services with Serco Defence, working as part of the senior leadership team to deliver critical enabling and asset management services to the Royal Australian Navy. Previously Justin worked with Ardent/Svitzer Salvage in Sydney as was the regional business leaders providing oversight for complex emergency response, and ongoing wreck removal and decommissioning projects across the Oceania region, in addition to the management of AMSA’s national Emergency Towage Capability contract with Svitzer Australia.
